General description of the situation. Russia launched a war against Ukraine on February 24, 2022 (15th day of the war). They started with a rocket-bomb attack on 17 Ukrainian cities, first on the months of military infrastructure, and now on civilian infrastructure.
Today, March 10, marks the fifteenth day of the heroic opposition of the Ukrainian people to the Russian military invasion.
The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to hold back the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces in Donetsk, Slobozhansky and parts of the Tavriya operational districts. Defend the Ukrainian cities of Kharkiv and Okhtyrka. The main efforts are focused on preventing the enemy from advancing in the south-eastern direction. The circular defense of the city of Mariupol continues. In the evening of March 9, the occupiers launched air strikes on a maternity hospital in Mariupol, killing 3 people, including one child.
At the same time, the state border with the Republic of Belarus continues to be covered.
In the Sivers’kyi region, Ukrainian defenders are defending the city of Chernihiv. Measures are being taken to deter the enemy from advancing in the direction of Kyiv.
The group of forces and means of defense of the city of Kyiv is in constant readiness to repel the enemy’s offensive, inflicts fire damage on the offensive group of occupiers and maintains certain defensive lines. Thus, on March 9, the Armed Forces of Ukraine smashed a column of enemy vehicles in the Brovary district of Kyiv region.
In the southern direction, the enemy is held back in the directions of the cities of Kryvyi Rih, Mykolayiv, Voznesensk and the settlement of Novovorontsovka (Kherson region).
In other areas, groups of troops are conducting a stabilization operation and performing territorial defense tasks.
Successful evacuation of local residents to Poltava was carried out from the city of Sumy. Thanks to this, 1,600 students and 3,500 city residents were saved.
The evacuation of people from the cities and towns of Kyiv region continues – more than 18,000 people have already been deported from Dymer, Vorzel and Irpen. However, 50 buses were blocked by enemy troops.
The enemy carried out air strikes on Mariupol, Kharkiv, Zhytomyr, Sumy.
On March 22, 22 a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and the Russian Federation took place in Turkey.
In the temporarily occupied city of Kherson, Russian troops are trying to establish an administrative-police regime. For this purpose, units of the Rosguard were introduced into the Kherson region, which illegally detained more than 400 citizens of Ukraine. The reason for the strengthening of the occupation regime in the region were numerous and constant protests by residents of almost all populated occupied settlements.
