General description of the situation. Russia launched a war against Ukraine on February 24, 2022 (63rd day of the war). The enemy continues to carry out preparatory measures to intensify offensive operations in eastern Ukraine to establish full control over the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Today, April 27, the sixty-third era of the heroic opposition of the Ukrainian people to the Russian military invasion has begun.
The greatest activity of the occupying forces is observed in the Slobozhansky and Donetsk directions.
In the Slobozhansky direction (Kharkiv), the enemy continues to launch air strikes and hit the infrastructure of the city of Kharkiv with artillery.
In the Izyum direction, units of the Russian army are conducting offensive operations in the direction of Barvinkov. The enemy captured the northeastern outskirts of the settlement of Velyka Komyshuvakha, and also took control of the settlement of Zavody.
In the Donetsk direction, enemy units are conducting active operations along almost the entire line of contact. The main efforts of the enemy are focused on offensive operations in the Severodonetsk, Popasna and Kurakhiv areas in order to take full control of Popasna, Rubizhne and the development of the offensive on the Lyman, Severodonetsk and Slovyansk.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy established control over the settlement of Zarichne, carried out assault operations in the area of the settlement of Yampil.
In the Severodonetsk direction, the invaders established control over the settlement of Novotoshkivske, and launched an offensive in the direction of the settlements of Nyzhne and Orikhove.
In the Mariupol direction, the enemy is exerting massive fire and blocking our units in the area of the Azovstal plant.
In the South Buza and Tavriya directions, the enemy is concentrating its main efforts on maintaining the previously occupied frontiers.
In the Nikolaev, Kryvyi Rih and Zaporozhye directions the enemy tries to improve the tactical position.
The Armed Forces restored control over three settlements in the Nikolaev area. There are no significant changes in the Volyn, Polissya and Seversky directions.
Nine enemy attacks have been repulsed in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts over the past 24 hours. In the Black Sea operational zone, our forces inflicted damage on enemy positions on Snake Island. Hitting the control point, destruction of the anti-aircraft missile system “Arrow-10”, losses of military personnel are being clarified.
According to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Russia has spent about 1,300 missiles, about the same remains.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres met with Kremlin President Putin in Moscow on April 26. Putin allegedly agreed that the UN should take part in the evacuation of civilians from Mariupol with the participation of the Red Cross.
In the so-called “Transnistrian-Moldavian Republic” in the village of Mayak on April 26, two explosions caused the failure of the two most powerful antennas of the radio center, which broadcast Russian radio. There were also reports of explosions at a military airfield near Tiraspol. The self-proclaimed authorities of the Transnistrian Moldavian Republic have announced the introduction of a red level of terrorist threat for 15 days, canceling the celebration on May 9. The Transnistrian region has stated that traces of terrorist attacks are leading to Ukraine. Also units of the operational group of the Russian troops are brought to combat readiness “Full”. Following the provocations in Transnistria, Moldovan President Maya Sandu convened an emergency meeting of the Security Council and said that the Moldovan authorities would not block Transnistria, but called for a peaceful settlement.
