General description of the situation. Russia launched a war against Ukraine on February 24, 2022 (60th day of the war). The enemy continues to carry out preparatory measures to intensify offensive operations in eastern Ukraine to establish full control over the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The enemy continues to conduct offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone in order to defeat the Allied forces. In order to establish full control over the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and to ensure the land route between these territories and the occupied Crimea. In the Volyn and Polissya directions, the enemy did not take active action. Certain units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus continue to carry out tasks to cover the Ukrainian- Belarusian border in Brest and Gomel regions. In the areas of Grabovka, Hlybotske and Kalinino settlements of Gomel region, engineering equipment of positions was carried out.
In the northern direction without significant changes. The Border Service of the FSB of the Russian Federation continues to provide enhanced protection of the Ukrainian-Russian border in the Bryansk and Kursk regions. The enemy is increasing the engineering and fortification equipment of positions in the Bryansk region at a distance of up to 3 km from the state border of Ukraine.
In the Slobozhansky direction (Kharkiv), the enemy increased the grouping of troops by transferring and concentrating additional units in the Belgorod region. Thus, according to available data, Iskander-M launchers have been deployed 60 km from the state border of Ukraine. The enemy continues to partially blockade Kharkiv, firing on units of our troops and critical infrastructure. In order to complicate the movement of units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the area of the village of Korotichi, the enemy conducted remote mining.
The occupiers are shelling the positions of our troops in the areas of Kurulka and Nova Dmytrivka, conducting air reconnaissance of the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the help of the Orlan-10 UAV in the areas of Barvinkove, Kurulka and Husarivka.
In the Donetsk and Tavriya directions, the enemy fires on the positions of our troops with the use of mortars, artillery and rocket-propelled grenades along the entire line of contact. He intensified offensive and assault operations in the Severodonetsk, Kurakhiv and Popasnya directions. There are battles in the areas of Zarichne, Rubizhne and Popasna. In the Severodonetsk direction, the enemy launched pontoon crossings across the Krasna River. It is increasing the air defense system in the Avdiivka direction.
In the Mariupol direction, the enemy continued to fire and blockade our units in the Azovstal area of Mariupol. Inflicts air strikes, including from long-range aircraft. Using the railway connection, the enemy makes attempts to establish logistical support for troops.
In the South Buz direction, the enemy continues to hold its positions, in some areas it tries to improve the tactical position, exerts fire on the positions of units of our troops and civilian infrastructure of Ukrainian settlements.
In the Kharkiv region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched a successful counteroffensive. According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleg Synegubov, units of the Armed Forces knocked out the occupiers from the village of Bezruky, Slatino and Prudyanka of Dergachiv district.
According to the operational command “South”, the Armed Forces regained control over 8 settlements in the Kherson region.
A spokesman for the MOU said that the Russian army was currently completing the regrouping and trying to identify the most vulnerable areas of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in order to launch a large-scale offensive in the Donetsk operational area.
Russian troops are forcibly mobilizing Ukrainian medics who remain in the occupied territories of Kherson, Zaporizhia, and Kharkiv oblasts. In case of refusal, doctors are threatened with execution. Mobilization activities have also been launched against young people from the local population in the temporarily occupied territories. In order to ensure mobilization measures, the possibility of leaving the Kherson region is almost completely blocked.
Losses of military personnel and military equipment of the RF Armed Forces amounted to:

On Friday, April 22, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a powerful blow at the forward command post of the 49th All-Russian Army, killing two Russian generals. Another top officer in critical condition was evacuated to a medical facility.
Cases of resistance from the local population
Melitopol guerrillas continue to clean their hometown from invaders. To date, guerrillas have killed about 100 occupiers, spread false information about the chlorine leak in the city. In addition, leaflets threatening the occupiers began to be left on the windshields of Russian occupiers’ cars.
A peaceful rally on April 27 in Kherson against the pseudo-referendum was announced.
