We had big plans for March: the start of tree plantings around the world, the awarding ceremony of eco ambassadors, preparation for a large-scale Event in October, the presentation of the book “Greening the Planet 2021”. But these plans were overturned by Russia’s vile invasion of our land.
Our plans have not been ruined. We will definitely plant as many trees as we’d been planning and even more, we will rebuild our Ukraine and restore the planet’s ecosystem. Our partners and friends from different countries will help in the future, just like they are actively helping us to overcome the enemy.
Since the beginning of the war, many greeners have become volunteers of the International assistance headquarters for Ukrainians and have been helping us for a month without sparing any effort or resources.
Today a symbolic tree of peace was planted in Schwerin (Germany) on the territory of the Best Western Seehotel Frankenhorst – Wellness- und Tagungshotel in honor of our warriros who defend Ukraine.
The planting was attended by the organizer of the eco-initiative “Greening the Planet” Hanna Krysiuk, coordinator of the IAHU in Germany Oksana Schoorlemmer, owner of pharmacies Löwenapotheken, Hans-Jörg Wüseke, owner of the «Best Western Seehotel Frankenhorst – Wellness- und Tagungshotel» hotel – Charlotte Steffens and Anna Lyubima, head of the IAHU Humanitarian aid group.
We truly thank Oksana Schoorlemmer, co-organizer of the Greening of the Planet project in Germany who is a coordinator of the International assistance headquarters for Ukrainians, for her initiative and assistance in organizing the planting.
