We addressed this question to experts and manufacturers of military equipment in Ukraine and abroad. Note that this example is a standard. There are many additional and no less important items of equipment: load bearing vests, elbow pads, knee pads, gas masks, etc. However, we did not take them into account in the basic set of equipment.
The approximate cost of the basic set, which includes a helmet, body armor, gloves, uniform, shoes, socks, thermal underwear and balaclava, is from 700 to 1,300 euros. The cost depends on the quality and the country of origin. The equipment made in Ukraine is obviously cheaper.
Thus, it is possible to make the following calculations:
- Equipment for one soldier costs – 700-1400 euros;
- Equipment for 100 soldiers costs – 70 000-140 000 euros;
- Equipment for 1,000 soldiers costs – 700,000 – 1,400,000 euros.
